Why Arrange a Site Survey?
Accurate planning is essential before producing or installing signage.
A site survey allows us to understand your site properly, assess how the space is used and gather the information needed to plan your project with confidence. Seeing the environment in person often reveals details that can’t be identified from drawings or photographs alone.
We work with you to ensure every aspect of the project has been considered before moving into design and production, helping reduce delays and ensuring the finished result is right for your space.
Our site surveys typically include:
» Initial project review
» Accurate site measurements
» Access and installation assessment
» Positioning and visibility advice
» Practical signage recommendations
» Site report and project planning
Initial Project Review
Before attending site, we take the time to understand your project, discuss your objectives and identify any existing information that will help us prepare for the survey.
This allows us to focus on the areas that matter most during the visit and ensure we gather all the information needed.
On-Site Assessment
Visiting your premises allows us to properly assess the environment, understand how the space is used and identify any practical considerations that may influence the project.
This provides valuable context that often cannot be gained through photographs or site plans alone.
Accurate Site Measurements
Accurate measurements are essential for ensuring signage is manufactured correctly and installed efficiently.
We measure all relevant areas to provide the information required for design, production and installation, helping avoid unnecessary adjustments later in the project.
Access & Installation Assessment
Every location presents different installation requirements.
We assess access points, working areas and any practical considerations that could affect installation, allowing us to plan the safest and most efficient approach before work begins.
Positioning & Visibility Advice
Choosing the right location for signage is just as important as the signage itself.
We assess viewing distances, sightlines, customer approach routes and the surrounding environment to recommend the most effective positioning for maximum visibility and impact.
Practical Recommendations
Every site survey includes practical advice based on your building, objectives and budget.
We’ll discuss the available options with you on site, explain what we believe will work best and answer any questions before moving the project forward.
Site Report & Project Planning
Following the survey, the information collected is used to support the next stage of your project.
Measurements, photographs and recommendations help provide a clear foundation for design, quotations, production and installation planning.
How Much Does a Site Survey Cost?
Many of the site surveys we carry out are completely free of charge.
Surveys within a 10-mile radius of our workshop are provided at no cost. For locations further afield, a survey fee may apply depending on the travel involved and the scope of the project.
If a fee is required, we’ll always let you know in advance before arranging the visit.
Should you choose to proceed with the project, the survey fee is deducted from your overall project total. If the project doesn’t go ahead, the survey fee is non-refundable as it covers the time spent attending site, taking measurements and preparing recommendations.
